PONT DETRUIT sur l ESCAUT
Sur le site où un pont en acier a été détruit, un pont provisoire en bois a été construit à la place. Notez qu'un char anglais est tombé dans la rivière quand l'ancien pont a été démoli il sert maintenant dans le cadre de la fondation pour le nouveau pont sur l'Escaut à Masnières. On the site where a steel bridge was destroyed, a wooden temporary bridge has been built in place. Note that an English tank which fell in the river when the former bridge was demolished now serves as part of the foundation for the new bridge over the Scheldt at Masnieres.
